Install TAQNIX ERP on your Mac

It takes about ten minutes. Follow the six steps in order. You do not need any technical knowledge.

What you need

Step 1: Download the file for your Mac
On the download page, click the big button for your Mac. Not sure which one? The download page shows you how to find out in three steps. The file is saved in your Downloads folder.
Step 2: Double-click the file
The installer opens. Click Continue, then Continue again, then Agree, then Install. When macOS asks, type your Mac password.
Step 3: Open TAQNIX ERP
When the installer says it is finished, click Close. Then open TAQNIX ERP from your Applications folder, or from Launchpad.
Step 4: Allow the one-time setup
The first time, TAQNIX ERP asks for your Mac administrator password once, to finish the setup. This is normal and it keeps your accounting data safe. After that, your web browser opens the setup page.
Step 5: Enter your company details
Type your company name, your name and a password. That is it: you can start working.
Step 6: Save your security keys file
Important
When asked, save the security keys file to a USB stick or to your password manager, not only on this Mac. Without this file, the keys that sign your e-invoices cannot be recovered if the Mac is lost or erased.

You get 6 months free. Everything works fully, also without internet.

After the 6 months you can still look at and print everything you entered. To add new entries you need to subscribe.

To subscribe, open TAQNIX ERP and go to Settings > Subscription. Your data is never deleted.

When a new version is available, download the new file from this website and install it the same way as before. Your data is kept.

macOS says the file cannot be opened
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Scroll down, click Open Anyway next to the TAQNIX ERP message and type your Mac password. Do this only for a file you downloaded from this website.
The installer says it is the wrong chip
You downloaded the file for the other kind of Mac. Go back to the download page and download the other file.
The browser did not open
Open TAQNIX ERP again from Applications. Or type http://127.0.0.1:8787 in the address bar of your browser.
The page says it cannot connect
Wait one minute after installing or after starting your Mac, then open TAQNIX ERP again.
I forgot the owner password

Show the Terminal commands

You do not need these for a normal installation. They are for people who are comfortable with Terminal.

Check your download (the result must match the SHA-256 on the download page)

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/TAQNIX-ERP-for-Mac-*-chip.pkg

Show the setup details and where your keys file is

sudo taqnix-erp setup-info

Export your keys to a file on the Desktop

sudo taqnix-erp export-keys ~/Desktop/taqnix-keys.env

Show your subscription

sudo taqnix-erp subscription-info

Check that the service is running

taqnix-erp status

Restart the service

sudo taqnix-erp restart

Uninstall

sudo /usr/local/taqnix-erp/uninstall.command

Uninstall and keep your data

sudo /usr/local/taqnix-erp/uninstall.command --keep-data
