E-invoicing readiness quiz

Answer each question about your business as it is today. If you are not sure, choose “Not sure”: it adds a step to your checklist. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you ask for the checklist by email.

This is a general self-check, not legal or tax advice, and it does not tell you whether you meet ZATCA’s requirements. Confirm what applies to your business with ZATCA or your accountant.

How the readiness quiz works

Answer ten yes-or-no questions about how your business invoices today, from VAT registration to archiving and testing. You can answer yes, no or not sure.

Your score is the share of questions you answered yes, out of 100. Every question that is not a yes adds one step to your checklist, with a link to the page that explains it.

The score and the checklist appear as soon as you answer the last question. You can also have the checklist emailed to you once: we ask you to confirm your address first, and send nothing else.

Good to know

  • This is a general self-check, not an audit or advice. A high score does not mean your business meets ZATCA’s requirements, and a low one does not mean you are late.
  • Your answers stay in your browser. They are sent only if you ask for the checklist by email, and then they are used for that one message and deleted.
  • The questions cover the basics of Phase 1 and Phase 2. Which rules apply to you depends on your business and, for Phase 2, on your wave.
  • Come back after you work through the checklist: the score should go up.

Questions about e-invoicing readiness

What does e-invoicing readiness mean?

It means your business is prepared for ZATCA’s e-invoicing rules: registered for VAT, invoicing from a system, generating invoices with the QR code, and getting ready to connect to ZATCA when your Phase 2 wave arrives.

Does a high score mean my business is compliant?

No. The quiz is a self-check of the basics. Compliance is what ZATCA’s rules ask of your business, and ZATCA and your accountant can tell you what that is.

What happens to my answers if I ask for the checklist by email?

We send you a message to confirm your address. After you confirm, we email the checklist once, and your answers are deleted. We send nothing else, and the email has an unsubscribe link.

How do I improve my score?

Work through the checklist. Each step links to a guide, term or tool that explains what to do. Then take the quiz again.

Do I need to take the quiz if I am not yet in a wave?

It still helps. The groundwork, such as invoicing from a system, numbering in sequence and archiving, is the same, and doing it early makes your wave easier.
