Fatooraz

Salons, spas & fitness

A quick front-desk till, package deposits and QR receipts for salons, spas and gyms.

A mirror, a pair of scissors and a dumbbell

A busy salon, barbershop, spa or gym front desk rings up services, retail products and packages in a single visit, often with a deposit or instalment. Fatooraz gives the desk a fast cashier screen, Arabic and English receipts with a QR code and credit notes for refunds, so the day closes with figures that match the till.

Problems we see in this industry

Services and products in one transaction

A haircut, a product to take home and a membership renewal often arrive in the same payment. Written slips make the desk slow and leave services and retail items mixed together in the day's takings.

Packages sold with deposits and instalments

Bridal packages, treatment series and annual memberships are paid in parts. Staff keep the balances in notebooks, so a customer's remaining amount is a guess at the next visit.

Cash-heavy days that are hard to close

With several stylists or trainers taking payments, the end-of-day count rarely matches what was sold. Finding the difference means going through slips that were never entered.

Refunds and cancelled packages

A customer cancels a package or asks for a refund after paying. An issued invoice cannot be edited, so without credit notes the refund is a note on paper that never reaches the books.

How Fatooraz helps

A cashier screen built for the front desk

Ring up services and retail items on one screen, scan product barcodes, accept split payments and issue Arabic receipts carrying a QR code. Sales continue through short connection drops.

Point of sale (POS)

Deposits, instalments and open balances

Record a deposit when a package is sold, add each instalment as a partial payment and see the remaining balance for each customer before the next session.

Billing and payments

QR receipts and credit notes for refunds

Every sale produces a simplified tax invoice with a QR code designed for ZATCA's requirements, and a refund is a credit note linked to the original sale rather than a handwritten note.

ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora)

Arabic receipts, English when guests need them

Print receipts and invoices in Arabic with an English version for visitors and international members, so a guest understands what was charged without asking the front desk.

Arabic-first and bilingual

E-invoicing for this industry

Nearly every sale in a salon, spa or gym is to an individual, so simplified tax invoices with a QR code are the norm: issued at the desk and, once Phase 2 applies to you, reported to ZATCA within 24 hours. Corporate wellness packages sold to companies need standard tax invoices, and refunds are credit notes. Keep an eye on ZATCA's announcements to see when your wave applies.

Numbers owners keep an eye on

  • Daily takings per cashier session
  • Package balances still outstanding
  • Services versus retail product sales
  • Refunds and credit notes issued

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell a package with a deposit and collect the balance later?

Yes. Take the deposit when the package is sold and keep the invoice open for the balance. Each instalment you record reduces the amount owed, and the invoice shows exactly where a client stands before the next visit or renewal.

What happens when a customer wants a refund on a service or package?

The original simplified invoice stays as issued. You issue a credit note for the refunded amount, linked to that sale, and return the money. That credit note is itself an e-invoice, so the day's totals and VAT reports stay consistent.

Can services and retail products go on one receipt?

Yes, with the POS in the Business plan. Services use your price list, retail items are scanned by barcode, and the customer pays once, in full or split across methods, on a single simplified invoice with a QR code.
